In the quiet of her Beirut bedroom, while the world was still during the COVID-19 lockdown, Ola sat cross-legged at her desk, textbooks in one hand and a diffuser in the other. She was in the middle of her pharmacy degree, but her mind kept wandering back to the same question: “Why has it always been this hard to love my own hair?”
Most of her life, Ola wrestled with her wavy locks—straightening, smoothing, hiding. That was until she stumbled across the Curly Girl Method (CGM). It wasn’t just a routine. It was a revelation.
A celebration of identity. A quiet revolution, tucked into each curl and coil.
Inspired and electrified, Ola began documenting her CGM journey online. What started as casual Instagram tips soon transformed into a wave of interest. Women across Lebanon—especially those stuck at home—connected, resonated, and felt seen. From her small bedroom, a community was born.
But juggling exams and entrepreneurship wasn’t easy. Ola needed someone who believed in the dream just as much as she did. That’s when her older sister, Malak, stepped in. Fierce, driven, and a natural leader, Malak became the grounding force Ola needed.
While Ola wrapped up her graduation, Malak took the reins.
By the end of 2020, the sisters officially founded their brand
—rooted in love, resilience, and curls.
What began in one bedroom blossomed into a full-fledged movement:

Ola and Malak didn’t just launch a business.
They sparked a self-love movement.
They didn’t just sell products.
They helped people reclaim their natural beauty, one curl at a time.
And it all started with two sisters, one vision, and a deep desire to turn struggle into strength. That’s when “Curly Girl Accessories” came to life!
